Dear Partners,

As we know and have seen on the news, the Bahamas reports ‘total devastation’ in the wake of Hurricane Dorian.  Please note the following update:

Airports are not open yet –The airlines have advised that they will start flying cargo to the airport of Nassau, tomorrow Thursday, Sept.5th.  We can also charter Aircraft: B767F, B737F, & Beechcraft Super King Flights from MIA-NAS

Sea Ports are not open yet- The steamship lines must complete damage evaluation, including engineering assessment on the cranes and bring in a vessel that can certify the depth of the channel is appropriate for bringing ships in. We are waiting to get reports back from the carriers regarding sailings.

If you are planning to send humanitarian aid, our MX National division is standing by to assist you with moving your cargo to a Miami warehouse for staging.

As always, Missionary Expediters is here to help you navigate through the ever-changing logistics world. Please reach out to your project lead with any questions or rates you may need. If you do not have a project lead, please feel free to email denisec@mxshipping.com.
