Our History

Missionary Expediters, Inc. was founded in the mid 1950s after its owner, Oscar Braslaw, became a Christian at the First Baptist Church of New Orleans. We started out as a small division of Oscar’s American Import and Export Co., shipping life-saving food assistance to the most vulnerable around the world for various charity organizations… Since then, we’ve grown to be the premier freight forwarder in the humanitarian aid and relief industry, moving thousands of containers each year!

Half a century of trust, experience and reliability…

Missionary Expediters is the leading international freight forwarder for humanitarian relief goods specializing in unique routings: a niche that lets us provide the door-to-door service others cannot. During our more than sixty years in business, we have partnered with countless humanitarian aid and gifts-in-kind organizations. Whether your project requires containers, full and partial vessel charters, air freight, less-than-container loads, or project cargoes from all U.S. and foreign ports, our firm can handle it with ease!
